The standard of Azlanti is a priced artifact from a forgotten age. It was given to the bravest of standard bearers as a recognition by the emperor. The emperor had but one to give away throughout his life. Many emperors didn’t even do this, as the courage needed was only for the greatest of heroes. The standard will always display the heraldic of the wielder. The black haft is ornamented like the columns of ancient Rome, with a story being told by images going from the base of the spear to the top.
Wolf grim received the standard of Azlanti after the heroes delivered on their promise to retrieve the black stones and as an extra token of appreciation Lord Octavian had the following inscription made in the haft of the spear in Azlanti.
“Thus is our treaty written; thus is agreement made.
Thought is the arrow of time; memory never fades.
What was asked is given. The price is paid.”
- Lord Octavian
